Kevin Durant ended the month by scoring at least 30 points in six straight games, tying Spencer Haywood’s 37-year-old franchise record for most consecutive games with 30 points. Most impressive, though, is the Thunder went 5-1 over that stretch, with the lone loss a three-point decision at Staples Center against the Los Angeles Lakers.

After averaging 27.7 points in November, Durant dumped in 29.7 points in December and did so at a more efficient rate, both from behind the 3-point arc and from the field overall. Durant’s scoring average in December trails only last February’s 30.6-average for his career-high in any month.
