A local ministry’s Valentine’s-themed event has grown so much that it will be held next month in its biggest venue yet.

Clarence Hill is executive director and co-founder of Eye to Eye, a ministry for married and engaged couples.

Hill said the ministry’s annual Sweetheart Ball sold out last year at the Oklahoma City Marriott. He said 200 couples attended the event, and many people had to be turned away.

This year’s ball will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 at Cox Convention Center. Hill said about 350 couples are expected to attend.

Eye to Eye wants to honor the Oklahoma couple that has been married the longest. In 2008, a couple that had been married for 61 years was honored at the ball, Hill said.

He said his organization is hoping Oklahomans can help find long-married couples.
