Some sunny skies are expected Saturday afternoon, but temperatures won’t reach above freezing for much of the state.

“Hopefully we can get some sun in this afternoon, at least help with some melting,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Ty Judd. “We won’t get above freezing for most of central Oklahoma, maybe some better chances in southwest Oklahoma.”

Central Oklahoma is predicted to have a high near 29 today with a northwest wind between eight and eleven miles per hour. Sunday highs are expected to be in the mid 30s with slight winds of four to seven miles per hour.
