From the top: LOOKatOKC takes a step into the future
Back in 1999, in the days when cell phones were just for calling people, Steven Spielberg invited a group of 15 scientists, computer experts and futurists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Apple, Microsoft and various think tanks to talk about what our lives might be like in 2054. The ideas they spun included self-directed electric cars, GAP stores that identified your last purchases via retinal scans, computer images that could be manipulated by hand gestures and, most ominously, government-run investigative tools that allowed authorities to strike preemptively to intercept criminals.
