More Info
The Limbs for Life Foundation is a nonprofit
group that gives prosthetics and follow-up care to people who couldn’t otherwise afford it. Executive Director Craig Garvas expects to spend $75,000 or more in Haiti in the next two years. Cash
donations are welcome, as are in-kind donations. Used limbs, prosthetic accessories and unused socks and liners can be accepted; sockets,
orthotics and used socks and liners cannot be accepted. Volunteers are needed to help
disassemble and organize donations. Volunteering doesn’t require special skills. Prosthetists are needed for future trips. For more information, call 843-5174 or go to www.limbsforlife.org.
