Hockey fun facts: Former CHL sites in the AHL

The division alignment for the 2010-2011 American Hockey League season will be announced later. It would seem that Oklahoma City’s team would be in the Western Conference and in the West Division with the Houston Aeros (Minnesota Wild affiliate), Texas Stars (Dallas Stars) and San Antonio Rampage (Phoenix Coyotes).

Texas is located in Cedar Park, on the outskirts of Austin, a former Central Hockey League site. San Antonio was the home of the Iguanas, who were a CHL power in the 1990s. Houston was in the original CHL (1963-1984) for five seasons.
