Oklahoma not a finalist for funding

After an eight month marathon of grant writing, Oklahoma was eliminated from the first round of the Race to the Top federal grant Thursday.

Forty states and the District of Columbia applied for a share of $4.3 billion that President Barack Obama set aside from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to award states that implement drastic reform.
