Skiatook scout’s petition generates buzz over beekeeping badge
TULSA — Christopher Stowell is creating a lot of buzz.
The 13-year-old Skiatook seventh-grader from Troop 250 is trying to convince the Boy Scouts of America to reinstate a merit badge for beekeeping, something the organization discontinued in 1995 due to lack of counselors who were sufficiently qualified on the topic.
