Class 6A girls: Midwest City's 'monkey defense' paves way to semifinals
CATOOSA - It may have a funny name, but you can't question the results.
Sparked by what the Midwest City girls call a "monkey defense," the Bombers withstood an early charge by Tulsa Union to roll to a 44-24 victory on Thursday afternoon at Catoosa High in a girls Class 6A quarterfinal.
Midwest City plays in the semifinals at 9 p.m. Friday at Oral Roberts ' Mabee Center .
