SKIATOOK — Trael Colbert sometimes gets lost in the shuffle for Midwest City.

There was no hiding Colbert on Thursday night in the Bombers' first-round Class 6A state tournament game against Edmond Memorial.

Colbert hit a pair of free throws with 20 seconds left in overtime, then had a steal and converted while being fouled to put the game away with 10 seconds left as Midwest City beat Edmond Memorial 60-55 in overtime at Skiatook's Gary Johnson Activity Center.

"A little Bomber Magic there I guess," Midwest City coach Dewayne Bradley said. "That was a pretty impressive last minute for Trael.

"To execute the way we did at times and still find a way to win is amazing."

Trael Colbert (16), Trez Colbert (13) and Xavier McClish (22) combined for 51 points as the Bombers blew a double digit halftime lead before battling back in overtime to advance.

Midwest City (22-5) will face Putnam West at noon Friday in the semifinals.

"We've got to get rest," Bradley said. "Our chance is that we've got to play fast and we've got to cause turnovers and we've got to score.

"The question is, 'Will we have the legs to do it after this one?' "

Putnam City and Edmond Santa Fe will meet at 9 a.m. in the other semifinal.

Edmond Memorial's season ends 20-7.

Jobe led Memorial with 18 points. James Woodward added 11.

The Bulldogs, who were down by 10 at halftime, pulled within one on Jared Jobe's three-point play early in the fourth quarter.
