Running back Jermie Calhoun, who is vying with Mossis Madu and Jonathan Miller to back up starter DeMarco Murray next season, has had a strong spring so far, underscored by his performance in last weekend’s closed scrimmage. Calhoun had three touchdown runs in the scrimmage, as OU ran the ball effectively against the Sooner defense. "I’ve been taking a lot of reps and the more reps I’ve been taking, the better I’ve been doing," said Calhoun, who split carries in the scrimmage with Madu, who also had a strong day running the ball. Said offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson: "It was nice to see Jermie run with power, and good pad level. He had some nice runs.”
