NORMAN — Travis Lewis plans to enjoy his steak dinner Monday night, the spoil given to members of the White team for their 23-0 victory over the Red in the University of Oklahoma spring football game Saturday.
Lewis also plans to remind the Red team who won as the players from the losing team eat their hot dogs.
"I'm going to hold the mustard," Lewis said, sticking out his hand with an imaginary mustard bottle. "Whoever wants mustard for their hot dog, I'm gonna have it."
Lewis donned a head-to-toe white outfit after Saturday's scrimmage. White cap. White jacket. White shirt. White pants. White shoes. The only thing that wasn't white was his pair of black sunglasses, which he wore throughout his postgame interviews.
Said Lewis, "I wanted to let everyone know who I'm playing for."
Lewis delivered the most entertaining moment of the day, when he picked up a penalty flag, thrown for holding, and tossed it at the back of Red offensive tackle Cory Brandon.
"I wanted to make sure he knew, they knew that we were coming after them," Lewis said. "Wanted to make sure he felt me."
