Report card: Thunder offense, defense get an F; Serge Ibaka earns C+

Defense
F After limiting the Lakers to 41.2 percent shooting the first four games, the Lakers shot 53.8 percent, which was misleading. Los Angeles shot close to 60 percent through three quarters before starters were removed in the fourth quarter. The Lakers dominated the paint. Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum combined for 46 points, going a combined 18-of-26 from the field.

Offense
F As bad as the defense was, the offense was worse. Oklahoma City shot 36.9 percent but shot 26.2 percent the first half. The 34 points in the first half matched the season low — an early season lopsided loss to the Lakers and the second half of the season-opening win Oct. 28 against Sacramento.

Russell Westbrook
F The second-year point guard dominated Derek Fisher the first four games. The Lakers adjusted by putting Kobe Bryant on Westbrook, who was rattled by the switch. Committing eight turnovers, Westbrook was 4-of-13 from the field. He scored 15 hollow points, most coming in the third quarter when the outcome was decided.

Kevin Durant
F The NBA’s leading scorer during the regular season was harassed from the opening tip and never found his rhythm. Durant finished with a series-low 17 points. Durant had as many turnovers (three) as rebounds (three) and was 5-of-14 from the field.

Serge Ibaka
C+ Can’t give everyone an F. No player on the Thunder roster has played as close to his potential as the rookie from Congo. He wasn’t as effective defensively (zero blocks). But Ibaka was plus-4 in the game and is plus-31 in the series, which is evidence his energy has made an impact.
