Heather Drapeau received a letter from a Stonebriar Homeowner's Association attorney May 25. It informed her several signs around her home violated association covenants and should be removed.

The Stonebriar addition is located by Western Avenue and Danforth Road, near Edmond.

The largest sign hanging in the front window of her home is about 2-feet- square. The white sign with block-red letters reads: "For Peace Bring the Troops Home Now.”

"It's a whole lot easier than going door to door,” Drapeau said. "I want everyone to know that people are dying over there.”

Drapeau posted the sign after moving in to her new home about a month ago. She also hung several others on the front of her brick one-story home and along the wooden stockade fence to alert neighbors and possible intruders of her police-trained rottweiler.

Stonebriar Homeowner's Association covenants state the only signs allowed in neighborhood lots are those advertising a home is for sale or rent.

The former U.S. Air Force combat medic said signs about her dog are to keep people safe.
