La Petite's 3-star rating in jeopardy

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services has notified La Petite Academy it intends to reduce the rating of one of its north Oklahoma City child care centers from three stars to one star because of several serious substantiated complaints.

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services has notified La Petite Academy it intends to reduce the rating of one of its north Oklahoma City child care centers from three stars to one star because of eight serious violations — including a lack of supervision leading to sex play between children.

The planned stars reduction of the La Petite center at 16301 N Santa Fe is being held in abeyance pending the outcome of an appeal. No hearing date has been set.
