Workers Monday were clearing debris from what was left of the Christ Holy Sanctified Church. Demolition on the building started Thursday.
A worn sign, a wooden cross and a few flower arrangements mark the site were the body of the 61-year-old Daniels was found Aug. 23.
Her neck and throat had been slashed and she had been stabbed in the chest, back, stomach and hands.
Investigators found Daniels in what appeared to be a "crucifix position" behind the altar, with her hair singed by fire.
No one has been arrested in connection with her homicide, but an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman said the case remains "an active and ongoing
"It is by no means a cold case," said Jessica Brown, OSBI spokeswoman. "We are still investigating a few leads. While this certainly was a case that received a lot of attention, it didn't generate the number of leads we get in other cases. But, hopefully, we will continue to get calls about possible leads."
