Top Brewers prospects

Name, Position, Current team

Brett Lawrie, 2B, Double-A Huntsville

The 20-year-old is hitting .292 with 57 extra-base hits, 28 stolen bases and 39 walks. There's a chance Lawrie winds up playing the outfield.

Mat Gamel, 3B, Triple-A Nashville

Gamel has made it to the Brewers before but needed more work in the minors. Playing primarily in Nashville, Gamel is hitting .314 with 11 home runs. He's also cut down on his strikeouts in recent years. Since the All-Star break, Gamel is hitting .379.

Eric Arnett, P, Low-A Wisconsin

The Brewers' first-round pick from last year, Arnett has struggled this season (2-9, 6.85) and is currently on the DL but is still the most prized arm in Milwaukee's system.

Kentrail Davis, OF, Wisconsin

Another first-round pick a year ago, Davis has excelled in the Midwest League, hitting .349 in 45 games since moving from the Florida State League. Overall, Davis is hitting .305 with 47 RBIs across both leagues.

Jake Odorizzi, P, Wisconsin

The Brewers' first-round pick in 2008, the 20-year-old starter is 6-3 with a 3.58 ERA for the Timber Rattlers, striking out 120 and walking 36.
