Former Sooner hero Pryor dies at 85
NORMAN — Ken Pryor , who banked in the game-winning shot in OU's 1947 NCAA basketball semifinal victory over Texas , died Tuesday. He was 85.
Pryor's basket with less than 10 seconds left beat Texas 55-54 and put the Sooners in the national title game against Bob Cousy and Holy Cross.
