Deaconess Pregnancy & Adoption Services (DPAS) is the state's longest running adoption agency. The luncheon will be at 11 a.m. at the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club, 7000 NW Grand Blvd.
"I'm so honored to be part of such a tremendous event," says event chair, Sheila Amundsen, a DPAS adoptee herself. "It's unheard of for an organization to stay in business for 110 years. Our theme this year is The Legacy Continues, and DPAS has definitely proven this to be true."
At the luncheon, Claire Culwell will share her adoption story. Her mother had an abortion at the age of 13 without realizing she was pregnant with twins. Claire survived the abortion and was adopted by a loving family through DPAS.
