A Durant police dispatcher said two homes were destroyed in Colbert near the Leavenworth Trail. Several power lines were knocked down and blocked several area roads, the dispatcher said. There have been no reports of injuries.

Strong winds also helped topple a tractor-trailer along a highway near Colbert, Durant police said. The driver was taken to a hospital with injuries.

National Weather Service meteorologist Ty Judd said it was unknown if what destroyed the homes was a tornado.

"We don't know at this point if it was a tornado or not," Judd said. "What happened was apparently extremely localized."
