MUSTANG — Most of the Mustang football players are probably too young to understand the reference, but Ty Prestidge's analogy was still a perfect fit.

"It felt like we were playing Nintendo," the Broncos coach said after his team scored eight touchdowns in 2 1/2 quarters in a 56-34 win over Edmond North on Friday night at Bronco Stadium.

Mustang quarterback Brandon Taylor certainly was throwing with video game precision, completing 30 of 38 passes for 442 yards and four touchdowns. He hit David Glidden 10 times for 228 yards, including a 69-yard score.

"He's finding the groove, that's all there is to it," Glidden said of Taylor. "Our offensive line, you've got to give them all the credit in the world. They did a great job. When they do that, Brandon's gonna put the ball on the money.

"The kid's a stud. He's finding the zone right now."

But this wasn't just about Taylor's spectacular individual outing. It was a sign that the Mustang offense is finding its rhythm for the stretch run of the District 6A-2 schedule.

The run game was efficient when Mustang needed it. Running back Tyler Webster finished with 16 carries for 70 yards, six receptions for 77 yards and three total touchdowns.

Taylor connected with eight receivers, and four of them caught touchdown passes, including Jon Luckey, who also returned an interception 30 yards for a score on the second play of the game.
