DALLAS - In a script that's becoming quite familiar this Oklahoma
season, the Sooners took another big lead into the fourth quarter at the
Cotton Bowl.

Nearly blew it.

Then survived at the end.

OU overcame several late-game errors Saturday to hold on for a 28-20
victory over Texas to move to 5-0 on the season.

Like in three of their previous wins, the Sooners didn't make it easy.

"We even found a way to make this one not so pretty," said coach Bob
Stoops. "For awhile there it was pretty darn pretty.

"Then we uglied it up there at the end."

Thanks to a dominant first half, OU took what looked like a
game-clinching 28-10 lead in the fourth on a DeMarco Murray touchdown.

Turned out, that almost wasn't enough.

With 2:37 to play, Texas scored to make it 28-20, and lined up for an
onside kick. But with no one deep for OU, the Longhorns pooched the ball
over the hands team. Murray was the first to the ball, but instead of
picking it up at the 1-yard line with several Longhorns closing in, he
wisely watched it roll into the end zone for a touchback.

The Sooners still weren't done with the dramatics.

Two plays later, instead of milking the clock with a run, OU called a
rollout for Landry Jones to try to get the first down. Share your postgame thoughts Box Score: OU, 28 - Texas, 20
