How big a factor was it to switch to a 50 defense in one week?

"That was huge. Anytime you're dropping eight (into coverage) you need to stop the run game. I felt for the most part we did that and made them pretty one-dimensional. Our corners made huge plays with the interceptions. (Austin) Box made a huge play at the end. Our guys really locked in and took that defense and made it ours."

What were your thoughts on the fourth quarter?

"It was an insane game. I've never felt like that. I was having an anxiety attack. I was so pumped up and was like, 'Oh my goodness, who's going to make the play?' We made enough plays to win."

How satisfying is it to make another trip to the Big 12 title game?

"Hopefully we've silenced all the doubters. We just beat two great teams on the road, so that just goes out to all our players. We're mentally tough. We came here and did what we needed to do and we got the win."
