OU linebacker Travis Lewis said a 47-41 Bedlam win was one of the sweetest of his football career.

“I'm going to enjoy this one for a day and a half, maybe,” Lewis said. “That's the longest I'll ever enjoy a victory. Their fans are some of the biggest mess-talkers I know, and I'm one of the biggest mess-talkers I know. And they outdid me by 10. Coming into this environment and getting a win was huge.”

MARTINEZ'S STATUS UNCERTAIN

It might not be until late in the week before Nebraska decides whether quarterback Taylor Martinez, hampered by ankle and toe injuries, will play Saturday. Martinez has missed two of the last three games and was hobbled against Kansas. Backup Cody Green played well in a win over Colorado, but Martinez is more talented if he's close to 100 percent.

HUSKERS MOTIVATED BY '09 LOSS

A few Nebraska players said last year's controversial last-second loss to Texas in the Big 12 title game serves as motivation.

“It's still in the back of our minds,” running back Rex Burkhead said. “I'm not going to lie.”

Green, though, said the focus has to be on Oklahoma.

“You can't go in there thinking we need vengeance. We have to go do our job and take care of business.”

HANNA FLASHES SOME SPEED

Catching OSU's defense playing the run, tight end James Hanna sneaked behind the secondary for a game-clinching 76-yard reception. Hanna had a head start, but the Cowboys secondary couldn't catch him.

“I know I'm pretty fast, but it was nice to be able to show people,” Hanna said, smiling. “I didn't really contribute my first two years so it's nice to help the team out.”
