Oklahoma State bowl projection: Cowboys could be bound for Insight or Holiday Bowls

Insight Bowl: A Bedlam loss and Texas A&M's sweep of Nebraska and Texas has made this a legitimate option for the Pokes. OU and Nebraska would go to the Fiesta Bowl and Alamo Bowl, followed by Texas A&M to the Cotton Bowl. That leaves OSU to be taken by the Insight Bowl as the No. 4 team in the Big 12.

Potential opponents: Big Ten No. 4 or 5 (Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Penn State)

Holiday Bowl: If the Insight selects Missouri over OSU, the Cowboys could end up in the Holiday Bowl as the Big 12's No. 5 team, with Nebraska, OU, Texas A&M and Missouri being selected before the Pokes.

Potential opponents: Pac 10 No. 3 (Washington, Arizona)

Alamo Bowl: The Alamo Bowl appears set to take the loser of the Big 12 title game, so the Pokes would be a surprising choice to end up in San Antonio.

Potential opponents: Pac 10 No. 2 (Arizona, Stanford)

Orange Bowl: The Orange Bowl has quietly kept tabs on the Cowboys, who with a 10-2 record, solid fan base and explosive offense, could be an intriguing option for the Orange Bowl. The Big East champion and Stanford appear to be the Orange Bowl's top options at this point, and issuing an at-large bid to OSU could be more compelling than either team. But this unlikely scenario requires OSU to move into the BCS top 12 after this weekend, Stanford to drop out of the BCS top four AND the Orange Bowl to overlook a higher-ranked Missouri to take the Pokes.

Potential opponents: ACC champion: Virginia Tech or Florida State
