Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter and receiver Justin Blackmon along with Oklahoma safety Quinton Carter were named to the AFCA Coaches' All-American team on Monday. The American Football Coaches Association has selected an All-American team since 1945.
Blackmon had 102 catches for 1,665 yards and 18 touchdowns in 11 games this season. The redshirt sophomore averaged 9.3 receptions for 151.4 yards per game. Blackmon had five games of 10 or more catches and five games of 150 or more receiving yards this season. He had at least 100 receiving yards in every game this season. Hunter had 261 carries for 1,516 yards and 16 touchdowns in 12 games this season. The senior from Tyler, Texas averaged 5.81 yards per carry and averaged 21.75 carries for 126.33 yards per game. Hunter had two games of 200 or more yards rushing (Washington State, Nebraska). Carter had 85 tackles including two tackles, five pass breakups, four interceptions and one fumble recovery.
