STILLWATER — No. 16 Oklahoma State will take on Arizona in the Alamo Bowl in the teams' first meeting since 1942.

The Dec. 29 game in San Antonio will serve as a preview of the home-and-home series set to begin between the schools next September in Stillwater. The Cowboys (10-2) and Wildcats (7-5) will also play in Arizona in 2012.

Oklahoma State is making a school-record fifth straight bowl appearance and the seventh in the past eight years.

Arizona was ranked as high as ninth earlier this season but has fallen out of the Top 25 after four straight losses, the last coming 30-29 against Arizona State on Thursday night in double overtime.
