Camp Fire USA's candy sale starts Friday

Camp Fire USA's Heart of Oklahoma Council starts its annual candy and nuts sale Friday. It will run through Feb. 14.

Camp Fire USA's Heart of Oklahoma Council starts its annual candy and nuts sale Friday. The sale will run through Feb. 14.

Proceeds help Camp Fire USA members attend summer camp or build up graduation award funds. Money also helps young people who otherwise would not receive the benefits of Camp Fire programming, including homeless youth, foster care families and children with disabilities.

Proceeds also fund other programs and services offered by the 100-year-old, nonprofit, youth-development organization.

Candy being sold for $5 includes Almond Caramel Clusters; Creamy Smooth Mint Patties; Almond Roca Buttercrunch; P'Nuttles; Camper Mix; plus a new product, Milk Chocolate Malted Milk Balls. Caramel Whirls, Continental Almonds and Milk Chocolate Bars With Almonds are $2. Nuts to be sold include almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, cashews, praline pecans and peanut brittle.
