SNEAK PEEK

Next Five for Thunder

Monday: at LA Lakers, 9:30 p.m. (TNT) — Thunder won last season on Martin Luther King Day in Atlanta.

Wednesday: at Denver, 8 p.m. (FSO) — Nuggets still trying to figure out what to do with Carmelo Anthony.

Saturday: vs. New York, 7 p.m. (FSO) — Explosive Knicks blew past Thunder on Dec. 22 in New York City.

Monday, Jan. 24: at New Orleans (FSO) — The Hornets have stabilized themselves since the sale of the team.

Wednesday, Jan. 26: at Minnesota (FSO) — The league's double-double man, Kevin Love, awaits up north.

TEMPERATURE GAUGE

Who's hot? Los Angeles Lakers. The two-time defending world champions own the second-best record in the Western Conference (30-11) and have regained their swagger after losing three straight and four out of six to close out 2010.

Who's not? Dallas Mavericks. Since Dirk Nowitzki went down with a sprained knee in Oklahoma City on Dec. 27 — he has yet to return — the Mavericks have gone 2-7 and entered Saturday's game at Memphis on a four-game losing streak.
