Next Five for Thunder
Sunday: vs. Portland, 7 p.m. (ESPN, FSO) — Thunder is 2-0 against the Trail Blazers this season and could clinch the playoff tiebreaker with a victory.
Tuesday: vs. Golden State, 7 p.m. (FSO) — Stephen Curry (31.5 ppg; 9.5 apg; 63.2 FG) and Monta Ellis (31.0 ppg; 52.2 FG) against OKC this year.
Wednesday: at Phoenix, 9 p.m. (FSO) — Intriguing series against Suns this season with three close games and each team winning in the other's arena.
Friday: at Portland, 9 p.m. (FSO) — Final meeting of the season and the second in five days. This after having not facing each other since Nov. 12.
Saturday: at LA Clippers, 9:30 p.m. (FSO) — Thunder did not fare well against the Clippers last time in Los Angeles, losing 107-92 back on Nov. 3.
Houston Rockets. The Rockets are on a five-game winning streak and trail Memphis by 1 1/2 games for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Houston owns the playoff tiebreaker against the Grizzlies, winning the season series 3-1. However, the Rockets have a three-game road trip in four days, starting today at Miami. Houston also has home games remaining against San Antonio and Dallas.
New York Knicks. The Knicks entered their Saturday night game at Charlotte two games under .500 and riding a five-game losing streak. Once considered a possible threat to finish among the top four playoff seeds in the Eastern Conference, New York has slipped to the No. 7 seed. Since trading for Carmelo Anthony, the Knicks have gone 7-11. Anthony is shooting 43.5 percent the last 10 games.
