Senate report on financial crisis cites reckless lending, lack of oversight, conflicts of interest

WASHINGTON — Reckless lending and conflicts of interest on Wall Street and in the federal government led to the 2008 financial crisis that caused the nation's worst economic downturn since the Great Depression , according to a bipartisan report from a Senate subcommittee.
