On OSU running back Joseph Randle's sophomore season:

I wouldn't be surprised if Joseph Randle rushes for over 1,000 yards and catches passes for 500 or more. I think he will have a great sophomore season. ... I wouldn't be surprised to see him earn All-Big 12 honors. He's a special player.

On OSU's depth at defensive line and linebacker:

The defensive line is probably the biggest concern on the team. I liked what I saw from Richetti Jones and Ryan Robinson in the spring and Jamie Blatnick is solid. So it think the Pokes will be OK at defensive end. But at defensive tackle, after Nigel Nicholas, there is a big time concern. OSU needs several guys to step up in preseason camp, particularly Anthony Rogers and Christian Littlehead

On running back Kye Staley's role in 2011:

I think it is quite possible. The main thing for Kye will be ball security and how his body holds up. I think he proved in the spring he can make an impact on this team.

On whether Mike Gundy and the Cowboys have turned the corner and are reloading instead of rebuilding:

I think 2010 answered that question. OSU was replacing a huge-- and successful-- senior class after 2009. And the pokes went 11-2 with guys who were relatively unknown at the beginning of the season. Sounds like reloading to me.
