For the second time in two months, a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder has run into trouble with the law.

Thunder center Kendrick Perkins was arrested early Saturday morning in Beaumont, Texas, for public intoxication and disorderly conduct, according to numerous reports. Perkins was booked at the Jefferson County jail at approximately 4 a.m. before being released shortly after posting $150 bond.

The arrest was made following an altercation at a nightclub shortly after 2 a.m. According to a spokesperson for the Beaumont police, officers arrived on the scene as people were exiting the establishment “holding their faces and complaining of fights and pepper spray inside the club.”

The spokesperson said officers entered the establishment and observed a man later identified as Perkins having a disturbance with management for the club. The arresting officer estimated that “there were approximately 50 people gathered around Perkins as he was attempting to fight the manager.” Perkins, according to the report, had to be pushed out of the back door by the crowd as he yelled obscenities and attempted to fight others in the crowd upon his removal.

Perkins, a Beaumont native, was in his hometown this week hosting a basketball camp at his alma mater, Clifton J. Ozen High School.

On Friday afternoon, Perkins was scheduled to host a celebrity game that included Thunder teammates Kevin Durant, James Harden and Eric Maynor, as well as former Boston teammate Rajon Rondo and nearby Port Arthur, Texas, native Stephen Jackson, a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. Proceeds from the week's event were to go to Perkins' foundation, which aims to help children learn life skills and drug awareness.

But Friday's charity game was canceled after Perkins was said to have been suffering from dehydration, according to a spokesperson for the Thunder's center, and ordered by a doctor to rest.
