Sipping on Budweiser beers, well drinks and mixed drinks.

Crimson Nation Tailgate is a gargantuan display of all things tailgate. The sign hanging above the entrance says it all: "Tailgate like a champion."

More than 100 people crammed into the massive tent Saturday before the Sooner game. They ate, drank, laughed and watched the Oklahoma State football team lose to Houston, cheering at every Cowboy miscue.

Most in attendance said the tailgate is the biggest in the state.

"Everybody knows about this thing," said Joe Murphy, 26, of Tulsa. "They've got the most of everything."

The atmosphere is more akin to a crowded bar or restaurant, with bartenders and servers dishing out drinks and food.

While it's not uncommon for companies to sponsor or host tailgates, Crimson Nation Tailgate has taken it to a new level. Logos of dozens of sponsors — as many sponsors as some high school athletic programs have — adorn the lengthy tent in which the tailgate is held.

The tailgate even has a bouncer who checks IDs and issues wristbands to folks old enough to drink.
