Micah Hunter has gained valuable experience playing quarterback for coach Michael Branch and the Southeast Spartans. Now a junior, he's ready to help his team improve on last year's three-win mark. With a good core of talented players, Hunter simply hopes to run the show efficiently.
How has preseason camp gone for you and your team?
We've been up and down, but mostly up. I'm pretty proud of my team right now. We have a lot of intensity, and we're having fun. We came out in our scrimmages and set the tone.
What's the outlook for your offense?
We could be pretty good. We have a lot of talent, a lot of speed and height. We look pretty strong. We're pretty balanced. We have a strong running attack and good receivers. I plan on giving the receivers some good throws this year. I've had this offensive line with me since I came in as a freshman. I trust them.
What differences can fans expect from the Spartans this year?
We're having a lot more fun this year. We're not just out here practicing. We're enjoying it. The scrimmages were fun. We were flying around, hitting people in the mouth, and everybody had fun with it.
