OSU athlete commit Kendall Sanders had another big individual performance for Athens (Texas), but the Hornets came up short in a 28-20 upset loss to Palestine on Friday.

Sanders scored three touchdowns in the loss — the fourth time this season he has accomplished that feat — bringing his season total to 14 touchdowns. He also intercepted a pass on defense.

Friday, he caught five passes for 137 yards and rushed 13 times for 110 yards.

His touchdowns included a 65-yard run and a 60-yard catch-and-run on a bubble screen.

SHEPERD CHOOSING BETWEEN COWBOYS AND TIGERS

Three-star receiver Brandon Sheperd of Chesterfield, Mo., told OStateIllustrated.com that his top two choices are Oklahoma State and Missouri.

Sheperd (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) said he won't make a decision until he takes official visits to both schools.

He told the website that he is still working on when he'll take his official visit to Stillwater.

Sheperd also said that he's been impressed with the Oklahoma State offense so far this season.

“I've been watching (Justin) Blackmon and me and Coach (Todd) Monken talk every week,” Sheperd said.

WILLIAMS LIKES OSU, ARKANSAS, SAN DIEGO STATE

Four-star receiver Javon Williams (6-5, 185) of Chandler, Ariz., lists Arkansas, Oklahoma State and San Diego State as his top three choices, he told 247Sports.com.

Williams told the website that he will likely take his first official visit to Arkansas.

“Probably Oklahoma State and San Diego State are other schools I like right now,” he told the website. “I'm not sure if I'll take all my visits, but I'll take a few.”
