Oregon still king when it comes to football uniform combinations

Here's a comparison of Oklahoma State's new uniforms to those of other schools that have sported multiple combinations so far this year:


Number of combinations: 48

Apparel provider: Nike

The gear: Jerseys — white, orange, gray, black; Pants — white, orange, gray, black; Helmets — white, black, gray

What's new: All the gray elements, along with the black helmet.

Who decides: A select group of players — four on offense and four on defense — made all the uniform selections prior to the start of the season.

Worn so far:

Sept. 2 vs. Louisiana-Lafayette: Gray jersey, white pants, white helmet

Sept. 8 vs. Arizona: Black jersey, black pants, white helmet

Sept. 17 at Tulsa: White jersey, black pants, white helmet

Sept. 24 at Texas A&M: White jersey, gray pants, gray helmet

What's new: All the black elements, along with the white and maroon helmets. A new pitchfork designed by Nike has also replaced Sparky the Sun Devil as ASU's primary logo.

Who decides: Head coach Dennis Erickson, selected players

Worn so far:

Aug. 31 vs. UC Davis: Maroon jersey, gold pants, gold helmet

Sept. 9 vs. Missouri: Black jersey, black pants, black helmet

Sept. 17 at Illinois: White jersey, white pants, white helmet

Sept. 24 vs. USC: Maroon jersey, maroon pants, maroon helmet

Oct. 1 vs. Oregon State: Maroon jersey, white pants, white helmet
