Oklahoma Honor Flights recognizes American veterans for their sacrifices and achievements by arranging for them to visit Washington at no cost to see the National World War II memorial.
Priority: Top priority — for which applications only are being accepted — is given to World War II and terminally ill veterans from all wars. In time, the flights will be expanded to include Korean and Vietnam veterans.
Guardians: Guardians fly with the veterans on every flight to provide assistance and to ensure veterans have a safe, memorable, and rewarding experience.
Flight goal: The group's goal is to have three flights in 2012 as it did in 2011. The group intends to take at least 100 veterans on each trip.
