Oklahoma's waterfowl seasons are approaching.

Goose season opens statewide Saturday along with the duck season opener in zone one (north-central and northwest Oklahoma).

The youth waterfowl hunting days in zone two (majority of the state) also is Saturday and Oct. 30.

Duck season is currently open in the Panhandle counties and runs uninterrupted through Jan. 4.

Sandhill crane season opened Saturday west of I-35 and will continue through Jan. 23.

In addition to the waterfowl seasons, Oklahoma's fall turkey season opens Saturday and runs through Nov. 18 in certain counties.

There's still to get hunter education before the deer gun season opener on Nov. 19.

Almost 30 hunter education classes are scheduled around the state on Nov. 5 and Nov. 12 alone.

In recent years, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation has increased its number of last minute classes before the opening day of deer gun season.
