Occasion: Past Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools' Wall of Fame award winners met with the current class of award winners, Rand Elliott, Erik Logan Toppenberg, Aubrey McClendon and Larkin Warner, for a Champagne reception and reunion at the Oklahoma History Center the night before the Wall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony.
Welcome: Lori M. Dickinson, the foundation's executive director, welcomed guests and made introductions. Helen Sullivan, Wall of Fame Dinner chairman, talked about the honorees.
Special touches: Honorees received corsages and boutonnieres to identify them. Decorating the tables were lovely and fun ceramic vases of flowers designed by students from Southeast High School. On colorful cocktail napkins were precious sayings from elementary school students. One was “I want to be a fire girl. I am going to help people get out when there is a fire,” from Zanayra, a kindergartner at Heronville Elementary.
PAST PRESIDENTS LUNCHEON
Event: Junior League of Oklahoma City past presidents met at the Oklahoma History Center boardroom for the annual luncheon. Jill Greene and Ann Cameron were hostesses. During lunch the 30 women viewed a video about a new exhibit at the center that chronicles the League's 80 years of volunteer community contributions. Cameron, past president and instigator of the project, introduced committee members. Jeary Seikel demonstrated the interactive exhibit and kiosk that was created in partnership with the Oklahoma History Center.
A word from the president: Current President Whitney Tero talked about other JL activities. Past Presidents Greene and Cameron gave reports.

STUART WING DEDICATION
Dinner: University of Oklahoma President David L. Boren and OU first lady Molly Shi Boren were hosts for a recent dinner at Oklahoma Memorial Union. The event was before the dedication of the new Stuart Wing of the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. After dinner, guests went to the art museum for the dedication ceremonies and to view the collections.
Expert speaks: Martin Sullivan, director of the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, was speaker.

The collection: The wing is named to honor a lead gift from the Stuart Family Foundation made possible through the generosity of University of Oklahoma Regent Jon T. Stuart and his wife, Dee Dee, and will add 18,000 square feet to the museum. In the Stuart Wing will be the Eugene B. Adkins Collection, one of the nation's largest displays of Taos, N.M., and American Indian artists. The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art and Tulsa's Philbrook Museum of Art are joint stewards of the Adkins Collection.
FESTIVAL ON THE GREEN
Reception: A reception honored donors and friends of the Myriad Gardens Foundation and welcomed new Executive Director Maureen Heffernan. It was in the Myriad Gardens Restaurant. Myriad Garden Foundation Chairman Larry Nichols and Chairman Emeritus Jim Tolbert were hosts along with other board members. The event celebrated the completion of the gardens' transformation.
On the town: Guests toured the renovated gardens and Crystal Bridge.
CELEBRATE WITH CANDY
Cause for celebration: Nancy Ellis, Kirk Hammons and Rhonda Hefton honored Candy Dulaney with a recent event. It was themed “Mix & Mingle. These are Candy's last days to be single!” Dulaney and Bob Reece were married Oct. 28.
Table manner: The party was in the Ellis home, and green vases filled with white roses, ivy and berries decorated the dining table. Guests enjoyed various cheeses, tea sandwiches, vegetables, skewers of fruit and heart sandwiches.

Occasion: Leslie Spears celebrated her 50th birthday at Istvan Gallery with friends including high school friends Cathy Crump and Sally Walnetski, Alexandria, Va.
Entertainment: Music from 1961-2011 was played. Andrew Boatman demonstrated glassblowing in the Blue Sage Studio, and body and face painting was by Clarissa Sharp.
Gifts: The invitation stated that guests should not bring gifts or cards, but lottery tickets. It said, “Pick out numbers and write your names on the back. If it wins, we split 50/50.”
OKLAHOMA DERBY PREVIEW PARTY
What/where/why: Remington Park's Oklahoma Derby Preview Party and Community Expo was held in Silks Restaurant, on the track's Clubhouse level, and was part of the weekend planned to kick off thoroughbred racing.
Who: 200 state and local business executives, elected officials and horse racing industry leaders were on hand.
How: Guests watched the racing action and were served a cocktail buffet prepared by chef Roland Hernandez.
