Occasion: Past Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools' Wall of Fame award winners met with the current class of award winners, Rand Elliott, Erik Logan Toppenberg, Aubrey McClendon and Larkin Warner, for a Champagne reception and reunion at the Oklahoma History Center the night before the Wall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony.

Welcome: Lori M. Dickinson, the foundation's executive director, welcomed guests and made introductions. Helen Sullivan, Wall of Fame Dinner chairman, talked about the honorees.

Special touches: Honorees received corsages and boutonnieres to identify them. Decorating the tables were lovely and fun ceramic vases of flowers designed by students from Southeast High School. On colorful cocktail napkins were precious sayings from elementary school students. One was “I want to be a fire girl. I am going to help people get out when there is a fire,” from Zanayra, a kindergartner at Heronville Elementary.

Event: Junior League of Oklahoma City past presidents met at the Oklahoma History Center boardroom for the annual luncheon. Jill Greene and Ann Cameron were hostesses. During lunch the 30 women viewed a video about a new exhibit at the center that chronicles the League's 80 years of volunteer community contributions. Cameron, past president and instigator of the project, introduced committee members. Jeary Seikel demonstrated the interactive exhibit and kiosk that was created in partnership with the Oklahoma History Center.

A word from the president: Current President Whitney Tero talked about other JL activities. Past Presidents Greene and Cameron gave reports.

Among the guests: Pam Newby, Lisa Berry, Cristi Reiger, Patty Anthony, Carol Troy, Carolyn Mee, Polly Nichols, Karen Luke, Midge Lindsey, Susie Graves, Sally Bentley, Gayle Semtner, Lee Ann Nordin, Karla Wallace, Margaret Hoge and Betsy Mantor.

Dinner: University of Oklahoma President David L. Boren and OU first lady Molly Shi Boren were hosts for a recent dinner at Oklahoma Memorial Union. The event was before the dedication of the new Stuart Wing of the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. After dinner, guests went to the art museum for the dedication ceremonies and to view the collections.

Expert speaks: Martin Sullivan, director of the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, was speaker.

The crowd: Ghislain d'Humieres, Barbara and John Turner, Marie and Wayne Alley, Rand Suffolk, Rand Elliot, Wanda Westheimer, Nancy Johnston Records, Ellen and Richard Sandor, Libby and G.T. Blankenship, Max Weitzenhoffer, Janell and Rik Helmerich, Molly and Jim Crawley, Mary and Dick Clements, Lavona and William Rushton and Jonathan Nichols.
