Kansas State coach Bill Snyder: “We gave away two touchdowns at the very outset of the ballgame, and I was very proud of our football team because it was a replica of last week's ballgame with the exception of the fact that we came back and played a little bit better in the second half. By and large, we beat ourselves, and good football teams don't do that.”

OSU coach Mike Gundy: “I've said this now for awhile — college football has turned into March Madness and starts in September. I just don't know that there are going to be many teams that can make it through to the end that don't have some close calls.”

Snyder on the game's final plays: “We didn't have a timeout. So we didn't have any options but to throw the football. One of the plays that we did was an either-or with a running play, but we didn't have enough time to do it.”

Gundy on the game's final plays: “I told them in the locker room that I've been involved with Oklahoma State football for almost a quarter of a century and I've been here a lot of years when an opponent had a first down on the 4-yard line at the end of a game and we didn't stop them. I've been around our defense now for a couple of years, and they are finding a way to stop people.”

Gundy: “Our guys ... they play with a lot of confidence. We have mature leadership, and we didn't see any panic.”
