ABBOTSFORD, British Columbia, Canada — Gilbert Brule scored the game-winning goal in overtime late Saturday night, giving the Oklahoma City Barons a 4-3 American Hockey League decision over the Abbotsford Heat before 3,449 fans.

Brule took a pass from Linus Omark and pumped a shot behind goaltender Joni Ortio, who was making his first start of the season. The victory gave the Barons a two-game weekend sweep against Abbotsford, with both games on the Heat's home ice. Oklahoma City improved to 8-2-0-1 and remained two standings points behind West Division leader Houston, which played Toronto late Sunday night.

Josh Green added two goals, and Omark had three assists. Brule had an assist on Philippe Cornet's team-best eighth goal of the season.

David LeNeveu was in net for the Barons. He surrendered two goals to Greg Nemisz, but LeNeveu made 19 saves as his record moved to 3-0-1.

Oklahoma City returns to the Cox Center at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for a Field Trip Day game against Toronto. Tickets are available at the Cox Center box office.
