Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads: “We've got a blue-collar football team. We got a group of young men that put their hard hats on every day. They played with the passion and enthusiasm that has been a mark of our team since we have been here.”

OSU defensive end Jamie Blatnick: “We were up, but we still didn't have a rhythm. It just wasn't working for us. We obviously wanted to put up more points but caused too many turnovers.”

Iowa State tailback Jeff Woody: “Senior Night. Friday night on ESPN. Only show in town. Win number six goes bowling (ISU became bowl eligible). All those factors combined together create the perfect storm in finding a way to win and proving we are a good team once again.”

OSU receiver Tracy Moore: “Fumbles aren't something Joe (Randle) does, and throwing picks isn't like Brandon (Weeden). You can blame it on the weather, but that's not what we do. I don't expect it to happen in the next game.”

Iowa State defensive back Jacques Washington: “We felt pretty confident the last two weeks. We gave up 17 points total and facing the pass aerials like Texas Tech and only giving up seven.”
