Oklahoma junior center Ben Habern on Saturday made his first start since a forearm fracture in October that temporarily derailed his season. Habern and the OU offensive line helped the Sooners rush for a season-high 253 yards in the 26-6 victory against Iowa State.

This had to have been the most snaps you'd had since getting hurt against Ball State on Oct. 1. Was that good to get back in rhythm?

“It was good to get the start this week. I felt like I played more and played better. I was able to get back in the swing of things and get back in the flow of playing more.”

Was this just sort of a wacky game all the way around, from the holiday weekend to the stiff winds to the game time being moved from 7 p.m. to 11 a.m.?

“We knew the weather was going to be like that. It was an 11 a.m. kickoff, and we're used to 2:30 games or night games. It might have had a little bit different feel, but I feel like we were prepared and ready to go. No matter what the weather or the time of the game, we're going to come out and play.”

Did you notice the wind making a big difference for the offense? You actually scored all but three of your points into the wind, right?

“I felt like we did a good job when we were with the wind and against the wind. Our overall passing game was good.”

The national title is out, granted, but what's on the table for you guys next week at Bedlam?

“We're looking forward to that game. Our No. 1 goal at the beginning of the season was to win a Big 12 championship. That's still attainable. That's still right there. We've got to come to work next week. We're excited for the game and the opportunity.”
