From border to border, Oklahoma weather expected to be sunny and warm into 2012

Oklahoma’s weather will be picture perfect for New Year’s Day Sunday. The forecast shows sunshine and warm temperatures through Tuesday.

Oklahoma’s winter weather appears to be anything but wintry through the rest of the year. Sunshine, light winds and warm temperatures are expected through New Year’s Day, the National Weather Service reports. Calm winds, highs in the upper 50s and low 60s and sunny skies are in the forecast. Light winds will be from the north, northwest on New Year’s Eve but not enough to be a concern for any planned fireworks displays.
