Berry Tramel voted Oklahoma sportswriter of the year
Berry Tramel, a sports columnist for The Oklahoman, has been elected Oklahoma sportswriter of the year for the fourth time, the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association announced Tuesday.

Tramel has covered sports for The Oklahoman for 20 years, following a 13-year career with the Norman Transcript.
John Holcomb, sports director of Tulsa's KOTV-6, was voted Oklahoma sportscaster of the year for the third time.
National winners were Dan Shulman of ESPN and Joe Posnanski of Sports Illustrated. Bob Costas of NBC and John Feinstein of The Washington Post also were elected to the NSSA Hall of Fame.
The winners will be honored June 11 at the NSSA Awards Banquet in Salisbury, N.C.
