Pet Tales: Houdini learns a new trick
Pet Tales: The Oklahoman readers share their pet tales.
Let me introduce a very special dog: Houdini Harley!
Harley's best friend and Daddy is Erik Wagner, whom he takes very good care of. He is an exceptional dog all around. Harley does have one big problem though: He has been through some floods and is terrified of rain. When he is in the backyard and it begins to rain, he loses his mind and does whatever it takes to dig out. His family has to drive around honking his toy goose to find him because he has a problem finding his way back home.
The other day Harley decided to try something new, to dig under and out the back fence just for fun. Unfortunately for him, his family came home soon after he broke out. Being the smart dog he is, Harley knew they would look for him as soon as they got in, so he stayed close (being close to dinner time didn't hurt either). So, he tried to crawl back through the hole he had dug and got stuck! He is now called Houdini Harley due to the fact that he can make his way through spaces that are entirely too small for him.
