Oklahoma governor appoints final member to state Education Board
Gov. Mary Fallin filled a seat on the state Education Board that was left vacant when board member Phil Lakin resigned upon being elected to the Tulsa City Council .
Fallin announced Friday that she was appointing Joy Hofmeister , of Tulsa , to fill Lakin's seat the 1st Congressional District 1. The appointment term ends in 2015.
