High school swimming: Edmond City Championships on horizon

The three Edmond swimming teams split up this week before coming together next week for the the Edmond City Championships.

The three Edmond swimming teams split up this week before coming together next week for the Edmond City Championships.

Edmond Santa Fe traveled to Shawnee on Tuesday, with the boys beating Shawnee and Ada. The girls beat Ada but fell to Shawnee.

Colton Laramore, Brandon Le and Tommy Stewart won a pair of individual events each to help the Santa Fe boys sweet the duals.

Edmond North will travel to Ponca City on Thursday, while Edmond Memorial goes to Fort Gibson on Friday to swim against Fort Gibson, Bixby and Owasso.

The Edmond City Championships will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Oklahoma Christian.

MOORE SCHOOLS PREPARE FOR BUSY WEEK

The three Moore swim teams will travel to Stillwater on Thursday for a meet with the Pioneers.

Saturday, the teams will compete in the Casady-McGuinness Invitational at Oklahoma City Community College.

Westmoore's Kimmie Reneau and Moore's Alex Ballard have two of the top four times in Class 6A in the 100 backstroke.
