STILLWATER — Oklahoma State freshman Le'Bryan Nash has been named the Big 12 Conference's Rookie of the Week for the period ending Jan. 29. Nash averaged 20 points and 5.5 rebounds in two starts last week.
Nash scored a career-high 27 points in OSU's upset victory over No. 2 Missouri last Wednesday. He was 12-of-18 from the floor, including 3-of-4 on 3-pointers, with four assists against the Tigers. It was his sixth 20-point game this season. He added 13 points in the Cowboys' loss at Texas A&M on Saturday, his 14th double-digit scoring effort this year.
For the week, he shot 51.5 percent from the floor, with six assists a block and one steal.
Nash is the second Cowboy to receive the honor this season as freshman Cezar Guerrero was named the Big 12's Rookie of the Week on Nov. 21.
